Business Development Manager

Company is seeking a talented and dedicated Biologicals Product and Business Development Manager to join the biological crop protection team, part of the bioprotection division of Bionema Group Ltd, UK. We invent and manufacture biopesticides, biostimulants and biofertilizers for the management of crop pests and plant health, reducing the use of synthetic pesticides, enhancing food security, and increasing crop yields in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and amenity sectors.

The company focuses to develop and bring innovative formulations, effective and profitable biocontrol technology to meet current and future market demands in the surge of pesticides ban and removal.

Candidates will drive the success of a range of new B2B products and services, meeting clients and market participants, understanding global trends of biocontrol to identify and deliver high growth opportunities. Working with the R&D, operational team, collaborating with existing and new organisations, product strategy, business plans, product roadmaps, regulatory landscape, product launch, user personas, market requirements and use scenarios that lead to growth in a new market segment.

Key responsibilities

· Manage and lead Biocontrol (biopesticide, biostimulants and biofertiliser) branding, pricing, value proposition, supply/demand forecast optimization.

· Develop and maintain the product strategy with a deep understanding of biocontrol market trends, needs of prospective and current customers, as well as how customers use the current products and competitor products.

· Develop clear and compelling roadmaps and help support proposed strategies for new products and product extensions.

· Manage the product pipeline and define offers considering biologicals and combinations with chemistry.

· Provide thought leadership around the product set and assist with product promotion and positioning in the marketplace.

· Drive continued and profitable market share growth for the assigned biological products through the development of biological product brand plans designed to serve customer needs, in a sustainable way.

· Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to propose, for reaching new or existing markets with new offers and stories.

· Close collaboration with Market Development Managers.

· Own product initiatives from ideation to business case, from build to launch and commercial success.

· Join an established team of product managers who value learning, creativity, passion and sharing best practice.

· Translate market knowledge into user personas and product positioning statements which serve as the blueprint for both plans to improve go-to-market activities and a major input into the product roadmap.

· Strategic planning of new biocontrol products, also in relation with the EU, UK, NA, NZ, AU, Middle East, Asia regulatory requirements.

· Ensure robust efficacy trials and data analysis of internal and external projects.
