Business Development Manager

 

Description:

The role is responsible for the development, drafting, agreement and maintenance of a range of corporate documents such as the Finance Shared Corporate Function (SCF) catalogue and MoU.

Working with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and Shared Service business areas, the postholder will collate, analyse and develop information that forms the basis of our relationships with customers and the services and standards to which we deliver.

The role will manage the monthly finance executive dashboard process, developing and regularly reviewing the information included in the dashboard.

The role is also responsible for the development and analysis of customer insight including SCF data to ensure key information is extracted and helps inform the business.

Person specification

Developing the SCF documents ensuring they align with business and customer requirements.

To be the lead for delivery of the finance service catalogue and MoU.

To forge strong relationships and communication lines with stakeholders within SCF and the retained functions in DESNZ and DSIT to enable agreement of the finance delivery documentation, meeting all parties’ requirements.

To develop a key understanding of the most critical services and those most sensitive to demand and capacity fluctuations, maintaining relationships with operational counterparts, to ensure these are managed.

Lead the finance executive dashboard process on a monthly basis.

Development and regular review of the finance executive dashboard.

Support for SCF performance and benchmarking work to ensure timely production of the relevant reports.

SCF data - Identify and access sources of corporate data to allow for analysis, to ensure that key information is extracted, and inclusion within regular insight reports to ensure valuable customer insight is obtained to inform the business.

SCF Network – Develop and maintain network of relevant insight and data colleagues for the purposes of gaining customer insight.

Analysis reporting - Conduct bespoke analysis into areas of customer insight as required by the business.

Skills and experience

Experience in the production of corporate documentation and reports to SCF directors.

Ability to quickly build strong working relationships at all levels, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to confidently communicate with all levels of stakeholders, including senior leaders enabling you to collaborate effectively and maximise customer and colleague relationships and to effectively engage and influence at all levels within SCF and with external stakeholders

Strong organisational skills to deliver to tight deadlines.

The ability to work at pace in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, demonstrating resilience and sound judgement.

Ability to analyse and interpret data.
