Description:

BSEL operates through an extensive network of independent retail money transfer agents,
with around 150 based in the UK.The company has an aggressive plan to expand across
Europe over the next few years whilst maintaining its commitment to increasing financial inclusion.

Main Purpose of Job

To manage a team of relationship managers in generating new business across the UK;
through the team, manage a large portfolio of independent money transfer agents, ensuring
the provision of excellent service and support, whilst maintaining agent deposit balances
within agreed limits.Assist in defining marketing strategy and public relations opportunities
and oversee delivery of campaigns and communications to tight deadlines. Maintain a keen
competitive
awareness to ensure products remain relevant and meet customers’ needs, and identify and
capitalise on opportunities within the market.Reporting to Head of Sales

Role and Responsibilities

Own and achieve retail revenue budget
Deliver volume from existing agents against agreed budget
Deliver new volume by meeting agent recruitment objectives
Research opportunities to derive new business
Maintain a very keen awareness of competitor activity
Monitor the effectiveness of pricing strategy
Manage the marketing function to include marketing, site branding and promotions as well as cover electronic
and print media
Focus on beneficiary end by expansion of payout location in BD through BBL ATMs and agent banking
Own and develop the online channel to deliver to specific revenue budget
Promote excellent customer service standards
Manage relationship managers’ day to day activities, setting priorities
Maintain agent outstanding balances within agreed limits
Organise regional partner events
Support promotional events
Assist the company in getting EMI licence by 2025
Field visits as & when necessary

Skills and qualities

Fluent English and Bengali essential
Remittance experience desirable but not essential
Business to business relationship or sales experience desirable
MS Office – proficient in Excel and Word
Strong numeracy
Clear communicator
Ability to confidently represent the organisation externally
Results-orientated; proactive and positive approach
Team management experience
Ability to prioritise own workload and manage that of direct reports
