Business Development Manager

 

Description:

Our client are a multinational company with sites across the globe, due to continued growth they are seeking a BDM to cover the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding new clients and a background within engineering or manufacturing will be desirable.

Key Responsibilities – Business Development Manager

  • Driving new business opportunities, from lead to sale, to support growth plans
  • Developing and managing a sales pipeline from lead generation, opportunity management,
    through product solution, negotiations and securing the sale to ensure the sales target is
    achieved
  • Working with key account managers to maximise sales opportunities within the customer
    base
  • Developing strategies for expanding into new sectors
  • Working with marketing to support the lead generation activity across sectors and product
    ranges

 


Qualifications & Experience – Business Development Manager

  • 5 years of business development/sales management with a proven sales record
  • Experience of sales or business development in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • A self-starter, motivated by managing a strong pipeline and hitting target
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
  • Confident, rounded thinking
  • Ability to seek and develop new relationships to achieve strategic business objectives and hit
  • target
