Business Development Manager

 

Description:

You will have a background in building income generating relationships in either sales, fundraising, recruitment or another similar role. You will also be driven by the desire to support Big Issue Group’s mission by helping those furthest from the labour market into employment.

 


Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Drive growth by identifying new business opportunities with prospective or existing clients.
  • Secure and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with prospective and existing clients that will have BIG Recruit applicants and our mission in mind.
  • Attend regular client meetings and seek opportunities to enhance service delivery and increase income.
  • Maintain a database of customers and prospects in Salesforce.
  • Identify key accounts.
  • Identify potential for long term pipeline placements, innovate contracts and placements that will create development opportunities for candidates .
  • Raise the company profile via social media activity and networking.
  • Set, monitor and report on KPI’s.
  • Always lead with the ambition to build BIG Recruits Brand, profile and reputation.
  • Design and deliver pitches to prospective clients.
  • Generating sales through direct & email contact, as well as social media campaigns.
  • Demonstrate a desire to support people furthest from the labour market.

Skills and Experience
As an individual, you will ….

  • Have experience of pitching and securing mutually beneficial partnerships with potential clients.
  • Have a background in either sales, fundraising, recruitment or any similar role that involves building income generating relationships with clients and/or partners.
  • Know how to manage and develop long term partnerships.
  • Be able to identify opportunities that may not always be immediately obvious.
  • Have experience of monitoring and evaluating KPI’s and performance monitoring data.
  • Be able to develop and deliver strategies for building client base and relationships.
  • Have experience of communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and of delivering relevant and clear communication.
