The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving business growth, expanding the client base, and increasing agency fame and profile. The role involves generating leads, converting potential clients into long-term partners, and managing strategic new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Strategy:

  • Develop and execute new business strategies to convert leads into revenue.
  • Create and manage targeted campaigns, working alongside the Digital Marketing Executive.
  • Continuously assess business growth opportunities through periodic reviews.
  • Understand the market landscape and Audience’s positioning within it.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Maintain a marketing strategy, including outreach, awards, and PR.

New Business Generation:

  • Generate and nurture leads, taking them through the sales funnel.
  • React proactively to potential clients and develop relationships.
  • Overcome barriers to new business by creating small, trust-building transactions.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting of new business pipelines.
  • Manage CRM (currently Pipedrive) and accurately record prospect interactions.
  • Meet and exceed KPI targets related to new business development.
  • Prepare persuasive sales decks and marketing materials.
  • Entertain, host, and network with new leads in person.
  • Represent the agency at industry events and conferences.
  • Lead and mentor a direct report (Digital Marketing Executive).
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-6 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Proven success in generating new business in a B2B environment.
  • Strong ability to use technology and personal engagement to close deals.
  • Experience working with a CRM (Pipedrive, Salesforce, Monday, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with knowledge of various marketing channels.
  • Proactive approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to adapt to the fast-changing events and experiential industry.
