Booker Group, the UK’s leading food and drink wholesaler, is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) for its Home Delivery team in the South East. This is a newly created role aimed at driving the Home Delivery Plan, supporting retailers across Premier, Londis, Budgens, and Family Shopper, and expanding the home delivery platform. The role involves partner recruitment, sales growth, retailer engagement, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

📌 Partner Recruitment – Identify, recruit, and onboard convenience stores aligned with Booker’s business vision.
📊 Performance & Sales Growth – Develop sales strategies to increase order volume and revenue for partner stores.
🔧 Retailer Support – Assist stores in transitioning to home delivery, providing technical and operational guidance.
📈 Data & Digital Analytics – Analyze sales, delivery performance, and partner engagement to identify growth opportunities.
📜 Compliance & Regulations – Ensure retailers adhere to GDPR legislation and operational standards.
🔄 Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with the National Retail Home Delivery Team and share best practices.
🎯 Retailer Engagement – Gather feedback from retailers and implement strategies to improve services and products.
🤝 Cross-Functional Teamwork – Collaborate with other Business Development Managers and relevant teams to enhance the home delivery brand.

Key Requirements:

✔️ Strong sales and business development experience in retail, digital marketing, or technology.
✔️ Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
✔️ Commercial understanding and ability to support retailers with system and technical issues.
✔️ Experience in retail technology hardware & software sales.
✔️ Ability to analyze data, track sales performance, and improve business strategies.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Word, and Excel.
✔️ Ability to work remotely and independently while being part of a national team.
✔️ Resilient, adaptable, and self-driven with a passion for business growth.
