Business Development Manager

 

Description:

Ecovision is seeking an experienced and highly driven Business Development Manager (Commercial Solar) to spearhead its sales efforts across the Hard FM, Property Management, Commercial, and Industrial sectors. This role involves driving growth in rooftop solar PV installations, as well as expanding Ecovision’s three core services – preventative maintenance, panel cleaning, and pigeon proofing – ensuring long-term solar system performance for clients.

The successful candidate will lead the entire sales cycle, from generating and qualifying leads to contract negotiations and project handovers. You will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets, identifying market opportunities, and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers including C-suite executives, property managers, facilities managers, and energy managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive commercial sales in new rooftop solar installations and 3P services (maintenance, cleaning, pigeon proofing).

  • Meet and exceed sales targets through effective lead generation and market positioning.

  • Analyse market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to shape offers.

  • Build and manage strong client relationships at senior levels across agreed sectors.

  • Oversee full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure and successful handover.

  • Prepare proposals, conduct site visits, lead client presentations, and attend industry events.

  • Manage key accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with technical, operations, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery of solar PV projects.

  • Contribute to business growth strategies and company sales initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in commercial solar sales, consistently achieving or exceeding targets.

  • Strong professional network and ability to leverage industry contacts.

  • In-depth understanding of Commercial Solar PV systems, design, products, and financing models (Capex, PPA, Asset Finance).

  • Skilled in persuasive communication, client relationship building, and deal negotiation.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven with a “hunter mentality.”

  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
