Description:
Jackson Hogg is partnering with a market-leading manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies serving sectors such as Bio-Tech, Medical Equipment, High-Tech Industrial Applications, Defence, and Aerospace. The company is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and strengthen customer partnerships across the UK market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically managing and expanding existing key accounts while developing new business opportunities in line with the organization’s growth objectives. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, the ability to build long-term partnerships, and technical credibility within advanced manufacturing environments. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal teams — including Customer Success, Production Engineering, and Commercial — to ensure seamless service delivery and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and grow key customer accounts through structured account development plans, identifying opportunities that deliver value and foster long-term relationships.
Drive new business development across target markets, managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding and ensuring a strong foundation for sustained growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on customer needs and improve service delivery and loyalty.
Support strategic growth initiatives, including potential acquisition opportunities and other business improvement projects.
Person Specification:
Proven experience in a similar business development role within precision engineering or advanced manufacturing.
Strong ability to manage deadlines, work under pressure, and maintain excellent time management.
Excellent organizational and planning skills, particularly for managing blue-chip accounts.
Self-starter with a proactive mindset, while also being a collaborative team player.
Strong commercial and business acumen with analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Understanding of industrial applications, machine parts, and CNC processes, with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
CRM experience is essential.
People management experience is desirable.
