The Opportunity Hub UK, representing a rapidly growing research technology company, is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their sales team. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in driving business growth by expanding the company’s presence across the UK. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role combines outbound prospecting with event hosting and relationship building, requiring excellent communication skills, a competitive mindset, and the ability to understand the challenges faced by marketing and research teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and initiating contact with research and insight professionals through calls, emails, and social media.
Hosting and attending conferences, events, and trade shows across the UK.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with research technology buyers and decision-makers.
Supporting Account-Based Marketing (ABM) activities and nurturing prospect engagement.
Collaborating with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment in outreach and messaging.
Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation delivery.
A competitive, organised, and inquisitive approach to work.
Ability to understand challenges faced by marketing, research, and insight teams.
Flexibility to travel up to 20% of the time.
Proficiency with HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred).
Previous experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship unavailable).
Benefits:
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per year (+ commission).
Hybrid working model: 85% remote work, 15% UK travel.
Monday – Friday schedule, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
