Ampergia Limited is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development & Sales Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a Cranfield University student to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically in solar power. The intern will assist with various Business Development and marketing activities, gaining exposure to both the technical and business aspects of the solar industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Help generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and digital outreach efforts along with the team
  • Lead Documentation: Document leads and help with documentation for the BD process.
  • Business Development Support: Assist the Business Development team in identifying and engaging new clients for solar energy solutions.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential leads and analyze competitor offerings in the solar industry.
  • Client Communication: Support Business Development presentations and follow up with potential clients via phone and email.
  • Data Analysis: Documentation & provide insights into Business Development strategies.
  • CRM Management: Assist with maintaining and updating CRM systems with client information and Business Development progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Development, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current Enrollment: Currently enrolled as a student at Cranfield University, preferably studying Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in Renewable Energy: Strong interest in sustainability and renewable energy solutions, particularly solar power.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Analytical Ability: Ability to analyze data and extract insights that can inform Business Development strategies.
  • Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software or willingness to learn.

Desired Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a Business Development or customer-facing role (internships, part-time jobs, etc.) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of the solar energy sector is a plus, though not required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
