Business Intelligence Lead

Description:

Oliver James is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Lead to spearhead the development and execution of their BI roadmap. This role is pivotal for transforming complex data into insightful dashboards, reports, and narratives that empower strategic business decisions.

The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of BI analysts and developers, designing and optimizing business intelligence solutions while enforcing data governance and best practices. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to align BI initiatives with business needs and KPIs. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and strategic vision to foster adoption of BI tools and self-service analytics across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI professionals

• Design, build, and enhance BI dashboards and reporting systems

• Define and maintain data governance policies and best practices

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and KPIs

• Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights

• Promote and drive adoption of BI tools and self-service analytics

• Evaluate and implement new BI platforms, tools, and technologies

Candidate Profile:

• Proven leadership experience in BI or analytics environments

• Expert knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms

• Strong technical skills in data modeling, ETL, and SQL querying

• Excellent communication skills and business acumen

• Experience with cloud data environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred

• Relevant academic background with a bachelor’s degree minimum; advanced degree desirable
