Butchery Manager

Description:

Booker is looking for an experienced Butchery Manager to run their Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. The role involves working closely with customers to grow their business, understanding the local market, and providing excellent service. You will maintain high standards for stock control, food safety, fresh and pre-packed meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the butchery department including stock, food safety procedures, and display quality

• Work with Store Manager to develop a business plan for sales and profitability growth

• Greet and advise customers, handle orders, and provide excellent customer service

• Order and manage stock including stocktaking

• Lead and develop a small team including scheduling staff rotas

• Cut meat to order and maintain cleaning of tools and equipment

• Coordinate deliveries and order pickups

• Control waste to minimize loss
