As a Buyer for The Set (Menswear), you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of Next's own groundbreaking brand. The Set is expanding into menswear, following the success of its womenswear range, and we need a dynamic and visionary individual to lead this exciting new chapter. This role offers a chance to craft a collection that aligns with The Set’s bold vision, characterized by affordable, timeless, and effortless style.
You will be responsible for leading the development of a commercially successful collection, managing the quality and fit of the garments, collaborating with suppliers, negotiating costs, and analyzing data to inform future collections. You will also work cross-functionally with the Marketing, Design, and other key teams to ensure alignment and drive the collective success of the brand.
Range Development: Lead the creation of a successful menswear collection aligned with The Set’s vision and brand identity.
Fit & Quality Leadership: Oversee fit sessions and ensure all garments meet the highest quality standards.
Supplier Collaboration: Communicate with suppliers to ensure smooth processes and timely deliveries.
Cost Negotiation: Work with suppliers to achieve competitive costs, meeting key performance indicators.
Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze sales and trends to identify opportunities and shape future collections.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with teams across the business, including Marketing and Design, to ensure seamless project execution.
Trend Awareness: A sharp eye for emerging menswear trends.
Own Label Expertise: Proven experience developing unique and compelling own-label designs.
Detail-Oriented: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
