Description:

SOAS University of London is seeking a CAMHRA Coordinator to support the operations of the Centre for Anthropology and Mental Health Research in Action (CAMHRA) within the Department of Anthropology and Sociology. This is a fixed-term maternity leave cover role from May 2025 to March 2026, offering an opportunity to contribute to a globally recognized research centre focused on mental health inequalities and lived-experience research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager, Director, and Co-Director to foster a strong research culture.
  • Support the promotion of funding opportunities for staff and students.
  • Ensure the smooth application, setup, and delivery of research projects.
  • Assist in the recruitment and monitoring of CAMHRA’s research outputs.
  • Maintain compliance with SOAS policies, external funder requirements, and research governance.
  • Provide efficient administrative support for research activities.
  • Coordinate with internal academic and professional service teams for streamlined operations.
  • Contribute to system and process improvements within CAMHRA and SOAS.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team and contributing to research support functions.
