Description:

Aviva Investors, a leading global asset manager and part of the Aviva Group, is seeking a Capital Analyst to join their London-based Finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in capital management and financial services who want to contribute to capital and liquidity reporting and support strategic financial decision-making within a globally recognized organization.

The Capital Analyst will support the Capital Reporting Manager and Senior Finance Manager in preparing high-quality internal and external capital and liquidity reports. These reports will play a vital role in enabling informed decision-making and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. The role also involves managing new capital transactions such as capital injections, reductions, loans, and dividends, while preparing quarterly capital metrics including Solvency Ratios, Operating Capital Generation, and Return on Capital. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to financial risk assessments supporting the Internal Capital and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process, ensuring the business remains compliant and financially resilient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate, timely capital and liquidity reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support the management of global capital and liquidity positions, ensuring no breaches of regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with capital transactions such as injections, loans, reductions, and dividends.

  • Prepare quarterly capital metrics (Solvency Ratios, Operating Capital Generation, Return on Capital, etc.).

  • Conduct financial risk assessments for ICARA and support capital strategy decisions.

  • Partner with senior finance leaders to ensure effective decision-making and alignment with regulatory frameworks.

  • Contribute to strengthening Aviva’s financial risk management, governance, and reporting standards.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of FCA, PRA, and EU/global regulatory capital directives and requirements.

  • Solid business acumen with strong project management and facilitation skills.

  • Understanding of financial risk, regulatory controls, and SM&CR compliance.

  • Ability to manage priorities, exercise sound judgment, and deliver across multiple projects.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
