THE ROLE

What you will be doing

Key responsibilities include:

  • Balance Sheet Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to optimise the balance sheets of our various lending ventures including liability management, capital structure, and liquidity management.
  • Funding Cost Reduction: Work closely with Blenheim Chalcot's portfolio companies to identify opportunities for reducing funding costs, including negotiating more favourable terms and conditions with lenders, and exploring alternative funding sources.
  • Institutional Funding: Source and secure large institutional funding lines to support the growth of our portfolio companies, including developing relationships with potential investors, preparing investment proposals, and managing due diligence processes seeking to leverage economies of scale from across the portfolio.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury activities, ensuring efficient cash management risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making by the company's senior management team and board of directors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulators.

Professional Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury, capital markets, or a related field, preferably with a non-bank lender.
  • Proven track record of success in balance sheet optimisation, funding cost reduction, and securing large institutional funding lines.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and market trends.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage with senior stakeholders and investors.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g. CFA, MBA) is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
