Are you a cardiology registrar or research fellow undertaking a higher degree, looking for a flexible clinical role that fits around your existing commitments?

One Heart Clinic — a leading private cardiology practice in London — is seeking a clinician with registrar-level cardiology experience to join our high-volume cardiac CT and cardiac MRI imaging service on a part-time, sessional basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to supplement your income while maintaining your primary training post or research programme.

The role

🔬 Supervise cardiac CT and cardiac MRI scans alongside our specialist radiographers, ensuring safe and efficient patient care throughout

💊 Administer pharmacological agents including intravenous beta-blockers for coronary CT angiography optimisation, and adenosine for cardiac MRI stress perfusion studies

🕐 Fixed sessions available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays — designed to slot neatly around academic or training commitments

🩺 Work closely with a consultant cardiologist in a supportive, sub-specialty focused environment with a strong imaging caseload

Who we're looking for

✅ GMC-registered doctor at registrar level or above in cardiology ✅ Valid ALS certification (mandatory) ✅ Comfortable with clinical supervision and drug administration in a procedural setting ✅ Research fellows or those on structured higher degree programmes particularly encouraged to apply ✅ Prior exposure to cardiac imaging desirable but not essential

Remuneration

We offer a competitive sessional rate that meaningfully exceeds standard NHS locum benchmarks, reflecting the specialist nature of the work and the private practice setting.

Sessions are self-contained and predictable in length, making it straightforward to plan earnings around your primary commitments. Payment is made promptly on a per-session basis.
