A highly respected Property and Surveying Consultancy in Greater London is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their forward-thinking team. As a Building Surveyor, you will contribute to meaningful projects that enhance the built environment and community living standards. You’ll work closely with senior staff, manage a variety of technical assignments, and have the opportunity to grow within a collaborative and supportive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply for and prepare documentation for planning and building regulations approvals.

  • Write technical specifications for tenders, analyse responses, and produce evaluation reports.

  • Carry out duties as Contract Administrator—experience in this area is highly valued.

  • Assist with responsibilities under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

  • Lead and manage projects such as stock condition surveys and EPC assessments.

  • Undertake contract administration using various JCT Contracts.

  • Conduct thorough property inspections to diagnose defects and suggest suitable repairs.

  • Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety policies across all projects.

  • Participate in and lead progress meetings with stakeholders and clients.

  • Independently compile and deliver detailed technical reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven background as a consultant building surveyor with sound technical and material knowledge.

  • Strong grasp of planning procedures and building regulation processes.

  • Confident in producing comprehensive specifications and schedules of works.

  • Practical site inspection experience.

  • Familiarity with party wall services is beneficial.

  • Capable of taking initiative, communicating effectively, and managing diverse responsibilities.

  • MRICS qualified or on track for qualification.

  • Possession of a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
