Description:
Due to its continued growth now the business has decided it’s the right time to recruit an experienced Strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to help drive its technology function forward and ensure that its best in class.
The CTO will have 4 direct reports (Heads of: Product, Engineering, Infrastructure and Security), there are circa 220 employees that sit with these 4 technology departments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's technology vision, roadmap, and strategy, working closely with the CEO and other senior leaders within the business to ensure technology fully compliments its continued business growth.
- Lead the entire technology division, including the oversight of 4 departments across engineering, product, information security & infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the product development team to drive technology innovation, ensuring its seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems.
- Serve as a technical advisor to the CEO and board of directors, providing regular updates on technology initiatives, industry trends, and progress toward strategic objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external technology partners, and vendors.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current and futures regulations i.e., data protection, GDPR and cybersecurity requirements.
- Continuously analyse and strengthen the information security environment and systems with the goal of reducing vulnerabilities and threats.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, fostering a humble, determined, and open-minded environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and development tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s global operations and products.
- Partner with key stakeholders and at times work with current and potential clients to build confidence that the business technology functions will ensure full and robust security to them.
