Interstad, an early-stage sports tech start-up, is offering an exciting opportunity for a technology-driven professional to join as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in a part-time, equity-based capacity, with the strong prospect of evolving into a full-time, paid position within six months. This is a hybrid role based in Greater London, ideal for someone passionate about sports and innovation in fan experiences.

About the Company:

Interstad is a B2B2C SaaS platform designed to transform the digital fan experience across various sports, enabling content sharing and deep fan engagement. The platform is already built and live, requiring a tech-savvy leader to manage its maintenance, optimization, and future development.

Technical Stack:

• Framework: Next.js (migrated from React Router v7)

• Interaction: tRPC for client-server communication

• UI: shadcn/UI with Radix UI for accessibility and flexibility

• Hosting: Vercel

• Database & Services: Turso, Upstash, Cloudflare, Mux, Resend, Stripe, Pusher.com

• Version Control: GitHub

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage the live website and resolve bugs as they occur

• Optimize current workflows and develop new features aligned with the platform's 4-stage product roadmap

• Take ownership of the technology strategy, collaborating with the founder to refine the long-term tech vision

• Guide the product roadmap with a customer-focused and scalable architecture

• Support early user and client interactions to refine tech solutions

About You:

• Full-stack developer with strong experience in web/app development

• Comfortable managing both front-end and back-end systems

• Prior work on content-sharing platforms or within a sports organization is highly advantageous

• You’ve scaled or helped build out tech teams or early-stage products before

• A hands-on problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit

• Confident communicator who can collaborate and pitch ideas effectively

• Open to equity-based engagement with the vision to grow into a full-time CTO

• Based in the UK and available for occasional in-person alignment meetings

Compensation & Terms:

• Equity Only (details to be discussed individually)

• Part-time initially, ideal for someone with a current full-time role

• Strong expectation of revenue generation within six months, transitioning to a full-time salaried CTO role

• Initial remote work setup, with flexibility for in-person strategy meetings

The founder brings 7+ years of experience across Horse Racing, Rugby League, and Football, with a strong commercial background in marketing, events, and fan engagement across UK and Australia. A lifelong sports enthusiast with a high-trust, collaborative working style.
