Psicon Ltd, a leading healthcare provider operating a growing Independent Clinician Network, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join their Canterbury clinic. As part of this role, you will conduct comprehensive developmental and psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses, and provide tailored recommendations to families. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in supporting children, young people, and their families through their diagnostic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct developmental histories and structured assessments for autism and ADHD in children and adolescents (ages 3–18).
Observe and engage children and young people in a compassionate, age-appropriate manner.
Review ADOS reports, developmental histories, and collateral information from schools and families.
Formulate diagnoses, provide clear and sensitive feedback to families, and signpost to appropriate resources and services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in planned clinics and follow-up sessions.
Produce high-quality, DSM-5 compliant diagnostic reports within 48 hours, with administrative support provided.
Request onward referrals when clinically appropriate, following NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
Our Clinics:
Up to four appointments per day on a per-assessment tariff basis (self-employed, outside IR35).
Clinic sessions are delivered face-to-face in Canterbury.
Flexible scheduling options available Monday to Sunday.
Access to free CPD opportunities and training in additional neurodevelopmental assessments, such as ADHD.
What We’re Looking For:
GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (preferred, not essential).
Expertise and confidence in ASD and ADHD assessments for children and young people.
Commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and compassionate care.
Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal requirements.
