Childcare Practitioner

King Square Community Nursery is an inclusive, welcoming early years setting in Islington committed to providing high-quality childcare and education. The nursery aims to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment in which children can learn, grow, and thrive. The Early Childhood Educator will play a key role in supporting children’s development and ensuring a positive daily learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework.

• Support children’s physical, emotional, and educational development.

• Conduct accurate observations and contribute to children’s learning journals.

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

• Ensure all children’s wellbeing, safeguarding, and safety at all times.

• Assist in maintaining an organised, clean, and welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (essential).

• Experience working in an early years or nursery setting.

• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Requirements:
