Children’s Registered Home Manager

Compass Associates is currently working with one of the UK’s leading children’s national providers providing therapy-led care enabling young people to grow and prosper throughout their lives. Together we’re looking for a Children’s Registered Manager to overlook a 2 bed EBD residential home of mixed genders in the Barnsley area.

This exciting opportunity means you’ll be running this Children’s Residential Service working alongside a team of experienced support workers, senior workers and deputy managers to ensure each child receives the best care. As the Registered Manager you’ll be the driving force at the heart of this team that makes a difference to children’s lives.

Work Pattern

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however you’ll also be sharing the on the on call rota with the Deputy Manager.

Location

The position is based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Commutable from Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster, and Huddersfield.

Criteria

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a similar setting
• NVQ Level 3 In Children and Young People's Workforce
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
• Achieved a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ grade within recent Ofsted Inspections
• Registered Manager with Ofsted
• Enhanced DBS
• Knowledge of regulations and safeguarding
• A strong understanding of health and social care frameworks, particularly Ofsted regulations and standards

Financials

The role is paying £46,000 per annum.

There is a bonus scheme of up to £5,400 (OTE £ 51,400)

£3000 for an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report

£200 p/month of Full occupancy

On Call - £25 weekday, £35 weekends

25 days Annual Leave plus 8 statutory holidays
