Civil Engineer

Description:

Arup’s Civil Engineering team is looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to enhance their growing team in the Cardiff Office. The team works on a diverse range of high-profile projects, including prestigious buildings, zero carbon schools and hospitals, data centres, large transportation schemes, and sustainable infrastructure for residential projects. The role involves all phases of projects, from advisory and concept through detailed design and construction supervision, collaborating with national and local government agencies, private developers, contractors, and utility companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design civil engineering elements across a wide variety of projects.

• Apply a collaborative and creative approach to problem-solving.

• Work with the team on defined parts of design projects and individual projects.

• Check the quality and accuracy of own work.

• Present design options and solutions to clients, customers, and colleagues.

• Use relevant CAD packages (AutoCAD, Civils 3D, MicroStation CAD, or similar) for design.

• Demonstrate interest in BIM, digital automation, 3D or digital environments, and digital design processes.

• Use civil engineering design software packages (MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Civils 3D).

Qualifications:

• Suitable Civil Engineering degree aligned with a technical specialism.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.

• Demonstrable experience in civil engineering design and delivery.
