Your new role

FJD Consulting are looking engage a full time Civil Engineering Design Apprentice to work within our Bristol office working with our structures. civils and geotechnical teams.

 

Your responsibilities

You will be assisting experienced engineers and technicians with designing railway infrastructure such as signal structures, retaining walls, foundations, cable routes, under track and under road crossings, drainage, walkways, bridges, building modifications etc.

You will spend the majority of your time using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software called Bentley OpenBuildings Designer (a Microstation variant) to produce design drawings and models.

 

What you'll need to succeed

 

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5 or above) essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5 or above) essential
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal in English at professional/native/bi-lingual level
  • Good IT skills
