A leading UK commercial insurer is seeking a senior Claims Digital & Technology Lead to join their UK Claims Leadership team. This is a strategic role driving the digital transformation of the claims function, enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and technology adoption. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to shape and deliver innovative claims solutions and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the digital and technology strategy for the UK claims function, aligned to business objectives and market trends.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate a clear digital transformation roadmap for claims.
- Collaborate with IT, claims leadership, and wider business teams to translate operational requirements into technology solutions.
- Act as the point of contact for digital initiatives within the claims team.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of best-in-market claims technologies, including automation, AI/ML, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
- Drive change management and adoption across claims teams to maximize the value of digital initiatives.
- Track performance via KPIs to measure the impact of technology on claims efficiency and client experience.
- Support training and communication to ensure effective adoption of digital solutions.
- Ensure all solutions meet regulatory and internal governance standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a digital or technology leadership role within insurance claims or closely related areas.
- Strong understanding of claims operations, processes, and systems (preferably in commercial lines).
- Track record of developing and executing digital transformation roadmaps.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- Successful delivery of digital projects or technology implementations.
- Knowledge of relevant technologies including claims management systems, automation, AI/ML applications, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Professional certifications in digital transformation, project management, or relevant technologies are desirable.
