Claims Executive

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and client-focused individual to join our team as a Claims Executive.

This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for managing and overseeing large, complex claims for our clients. This role requires a strong client focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex claims across various sectors.

The successful candidate will cover the Yorkshire region, working closely with our Leeds and Sheffield offices, and will be responsible for advising clients, managing relationships with Insurers, and analysing claims data to provide valuable insights for risk management. There will be some work with our Leicester office.

This role would best suit candidates who will be willing to travel to our Leeds & Sheffield offices and client visits.

How You'll Make An Impact
 

  • Manage claims for a portfolio of larger clients. This will include involvement in new business and renewal activity.
  • Advise clients on their claims, offering expert knowledge and guidance.
  • Provide management information (MI) to clients, helping them drive through improvements in risk management.
  • Liaise with insurers to negotiate and manage relationships, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.
  • Handle, alongside specialist where appropriate, complex claims across various commercial sectors, including liability, construction, complex motor, and large property losses.
  • Analyse claims data and trends to provide valuable insights and feedback to clients for risk management purposes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes, continuously improving knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide a seamless claims experience for clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to claims.
     

About You
 

  • Proven experience in claims management within a client facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of commercial claims.
  • CII or CILA certified or working towards it.
  • Strong client understanding: The ability to understand clients' needs, preferences, and expectations, and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Strong client rapport and trust-building: The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, gaining their trust and confidence.
  • Fact-finding: The ability to gather and analyse relevant information from clients and other sources to accurately assess claims and make informed decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail: The ability to meticulously review and analyse claims documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and address complex issues and challenges related to claims, finding effective and efficient solutions.
  • Curiosity: A natural inclination to ask questions, seek additional information, and continuously learn and improve in order to provide the best possible service to clients.
  • Professionalism and integrity: Demonstrating a high level of professionalism, ethical conduct, and confidentiality in handling client information and claims processes.
  • Able to travel to offices outlined and client visits.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
