Description:
Gallagher Bassett, a leading global provider of claims management solutions, is seeking a Motor Claims Handler to join its dedicated team in Horsham. Key Responsibilities:
Assess and record insurance claims on the in-house system, ensuring compliance with product standards, policy coverage, and coding requirements.
Conduct liability enquiries using appropriate methods in line with the Adjuster’s Manual.
Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence and adjusting reserves in accordance with Gallagher Bassett’s reserving philosophy.
Clearly explain liability decisions and negotiate settlements within authority levels.
Handle own damage and third-party claims including property, vehicles, offices, and personal injury matters.
Respond promptly and courteously to all written and phone enquiries.
Monitor claims regularly to ensure reserves are accurate and claims are progressed to timely closure.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and efficient service.
Liaise effectively with solicitors to ensure cases are properly managed.
Support general office administration to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Actively engage in Gallagher Bassett’s training and development programmes.
Ensure adherence to all Gallagher Bassett procedures and compliance standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Solid understanding of motor and personal injury claims handling.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in determining liability and compensation.
Proficiency in using MOJ and IOC Portals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
