Here at AXA, we pride ourselves on having an in-house investigations team (ACIT). We have several ongoing projects to deliver enhanced services to our customers, so to help us build on our strategic programmes and drive our people forward, we’re looking for a talented individual to join us.

As a Claims Inspector you’ll investigate Employer's Liability and Public Liability cases, and occasionally Motor Personal Injury Claims, along with any other investigations adopted by ACIT. In this role, you’ll cover East Anglia, Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire areas. If you’re an experienced Claims Inspector with knowledge of handling EL/PL/PI/Casualty claims, this could be the role for you!

At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you’ll spend 70% of your time visiting customers in the above areas and 30% working from home planning inspections and writing reports. There’s no requirement to work from an office apart from an occasional team meeting.

 

What you’ll be doing:
 

  • Investigating Employer's Liability, Public Liability with occasional Motor Personal Injury Claims on behalf of AXA Commercial Insurance, but also for other parts of AXA.
  • Attending site visits and travelling to customers, as well as working from your desk at home.
  • Representing AXA in face-to-face meetings with our policyholders, providing technically accurate and helpful advice.
  • Writing comprehensive final reports on conclusion of all investigations.
  • Utilising the expertise of handling commercial liability claims, using own initiative and managing time effectively.

What you’ll bring:
 

  • Previous experience of investigating EL/PL/PI/Casualty claims is essential.
  • Knowledge of Motor and Fraud benefits to the business, together with a clear understanding of legal processes and experience in investigation and negotiation.
  • Previous experience in claims fraud investigation advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of the claims process, reserving and assessment methods.
  • Awareness of the broker/affinity environment and the importance of these relationships.
  • Self-starter taking a proactive approach to claims investigation and negotiation, committed to customer service.
  • Working towards or holding a CII professional qualification desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
