Description:

Fujitsu is seeking a self-motivated Senior Test Specialist to join its dynamic Test Practice in Basingstoke. The role involves leading testing activities, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high-assurance technical solutions. This is a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement, leadership, and high-quality test delivery are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support a team of Testers within project engagements.

• Work with stakeholders to define testing scope and requirements.

• Design and create high-quality test plans for small to medium-sized projects.

• Develop test cases and test data for both manual and automated testing.

• Execute test cases and record results according to established plans.

• Log, investigate, and manage defects through resolution.

• Organize and coordinate test environments, tools, resources, and schedules.

• Report test progress, risks, and incidents.

• Collect and analyze test-related metrics.

• Write test scripts, test reports, and deliverables as required.

• Use tools such as SOAP UI, XML, Jenkins, and JIRA.

• Contribute to building a centre of excellence within the Test Practice.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Software Development and Testing Lifecycles.

• Experience with Agile, V-Model, and Waterfall methodologies.

• Hands-on testing experience across both Infrastructure and Applications.

• Skilled in creating and executing test cases for both manual and automated tests.

• Proficiency in defect logging and test incident management.

• Experience organizing test environments and coordinating testing activities.

• Ability to produce high-quality test plans and documentation.

• Familiarity with SOAP UI, XML, Jenkins, JIRA.

• Ability to meet UK national security vetting requirements (high-level clearance).
