Cleaning Assistant

Description:

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a Cleaning Assistant for the York Dungeon, a unique and thrilling attraction in North Yorkshire. The Cleaning Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness across all attraction spaces, staff areas, and visitor/staff toilets.

• Assist with costume laundry and other periodic cleaning tasks.

• Conduct daily cleaning duties, including early morning shifts (typically 06:30 to 10:30).

• Open the building and prepare Dungeon shows for operation.

• Interact with guests, answer queries, and help ensure a seamless visitor experience.

• Perform periodic facilities checks as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High attention to detail with a commitment to high standards.

• Comfortable handling cleaning products (training provided).

• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

• Previous cleaning or laundry experience preferred but not essential.
