Clinical Administrator

 

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to support our Medical Director and the rest of the Veterinary and Nursing Standards (VaNS) team. The purpose of this role is to provide a full and effective comprehensive range of administrative support to the Medical Director, VaNS team and their workstreams/projects, which will enable fulfilment of their function to a high-quality and standard.

Main responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organise meetings, take and process minutes
  • Deal with correspondence and communication liaising, prioritising and coordinating with the team
  • Help draft reports and presentations
  • Coordinate with clinics or other departments to deliver team training events
  • Deal with emails, calls and general enquiries and maintain an efficient message system coordinating with team members
  • Create and maintain record of work and communicate to team
  • Support with SER (significant event review) allocations and actions
  • Complete all aspects of ordering as and when needed

Skills and abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Be highly responsive, and able to work well under pressure
  • Agility and flexibility are required due to changing priorities and business needs
  • Approach to all situations with integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Must be able to use Word and Excel, data imputing
  • Minute taking would be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Conscientious, diligent and excellent attention to detail
  • Self-reliant, confident and assertive
