Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST4-5/ST6+) in Neonatal Medicine & PaNDR (Neonatal Transport) available to commence as soon as possible for 12 months.

These Posts Would Be Suitable For Either

• Post CCT Paediatric Trainees looking to gain experience in the acute stabilisation and transfer of sick neonates, who are looking to develop management and logistical decision making skills with the opportunity to act up as a Consultant.
• Senior Clinical Fellows not in the UK training system with good experience in Neonatal Medicine but wishing to gain further experience in tertiary Neonatology and Neonatal Transport. Clinical Fellows will be offered support to progress in their chosen career path including; application into the UK training system or with the CSER application.

These posts have the opportunity of working in our large tertiary NICU and in Neonatal PaNDR- (Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service) for the East of England.

Main duties of the job

These posts are particularly suited to those wishing to gain experience at middle grade level in a centre of excellence with more detailed information in the Job Description.

In addition to the clinical experience gained, these posts are ideal for those wishing to develop their skills in prioritisation and trouble-shooting and are suitable for those already in possession of CCT.

Successful applicants are encouraged to undertake quality improvement projects and to develop their teaching skills by involvement in the local education programme and simulation training

Applicants need to demonstrate an interest in Neonatology with a good level of procedural skills.
