An award winning Legal 200 firm based in central London is looking for a mid-level Solicitor to join their Clinical Negligence/Medical Negligence team. With a diverse caseload that includes complex inquest, psychiatric, and fatal matters, this firm has also recently gained a major medical negligence inquiry that involves aspects of mental health and negligence in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting Clinical Negligence matters from initiation to conclusion including inquest, psychiatric, and fatal matters.
• Assist senior Partners on complex matters including national inquiries,
• Input with the development of the department and assist with the management of junior legal professionals.
• Dealing directly with clients and maintaining the highest standard of care, taking instructions and ensuring full compliance.
• Liaise with all parties including defendants, government agencies, varied courts, and other groups.
• Instructing expert witnesses and taking clients’ proofs of evidence.

• Skills and Experience:
• UK qualified Solicitor 2-5 PQE years post qualification experience (other levels will be considered).
• Strong experience with clinical negligence or medical experiance matters, ideally to inqulyde inquiries.
• Proven experience managing matters independently with experience working with the LAA.
• Understanding of the Human Rights Act 1998, the Data Protection Act 1998, the Equality Act 2010 and coronial law.
• Strong interpersonal skills interacting with clients and colleagues.
• A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for developing their team and greater firm.
