Clinical Research Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Research & Development team as a Research Nurse. The role will deliver high quality care and support to research participants for the duration of their study involvement, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

You will contribute to effective management of each study, including patient recruitment, research sampling and the collection of study specific information. Research activities will be in accordance with study protocols, project sponsors and Forth Valley Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of study specific information using traditional paper records, electronic patient management systems or web-based study specific IT systems.

As part of the research team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the identification and recruitment of study participants from research active areas within NHS Forth Valley.

Applicants should be a Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience in the clinical research environment and a number of acute specialist areas. You should be educated to a minimum of degree level and should be registered with the appropriate regulatory body (NMC).

You must have a proven ability to work independently and the motivation to push projects forward ensuring that relevant guidelines and regulations are adhered to. Attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this post.

A current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate is required.

You should also be Proficient in MS office and electronic patient management systems to undertake activities associated with the management of clinical research.
