As a Clinical Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the optometrist with diagnostic procedures, equipment setup, and customer care pathways. Provide excellent customer care throughout all care pathways.
Set up and operate diagnostic equipment, including digital imaging and OCT scan capture.
Perform visual field testing and pre-assessment procedures under optometrist supervision.
Explain each stage of the appointment to customers clearly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory standards.
Adhere to IPC and PPE guidelines for customer and staff safety.
Technically competent with good problem-solving ability.
At least six months’ experience as an Optical Assistant.
Strong communication skills and confidence to seek support when needed.
Competitive hourly rate: £10 – £12.21 (age dependent).
37.5-hour workweek with weekend availability required.
