Indie Watch is building a new platform spotlighting independent brands in a high-end retail niche by combining e-commerce, original content, AI, and community engagement. The goal is to create a curated digital storefront that offers editorial content, enriched brand profiles, and tools for discovery and connection. The platform is targeted at enthusiasts who value quality, craft, and originality.

This equity-only role is for a Technical Co-Founder who will lead the development of a sharp, user-friendly product to be ready by November 2025. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and motivated by early-stage startup building. They should bring full stack and UX/UI expertise and ideally have some interest or background in e-commerce, premium fashion, or jewellery. A good understanding of SEO optimization is also valuable.

The role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Manchester or the North West, though location is flexible. The existing founder brings strong industry connections and experience in large-scale partnerships and advertising, and seeks a partner who complements and challenges their skills, taking full ownership of their technical contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical development of the platform (full stack and UX/UI)

• Build a user-friendly and visually sharp product aligned with the brand vision

• Collaborate on product strategy and execution with the founder

• Implement SEO best practices within the platform

• Drive early-stage startup growth and technical decision making

Candidate Requirements:

• Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset

• Strong full stack development skills

• UX/UI design experience

• Interest or background in e-commerce, fashion, or jewellery (preferred)

• SEO knowledge

• Ability to take ownership and challenge the founder constructively

Equity and Terms:

• Equity only position (pre-revenue startup)

• Three-year vesting schedule

• Final equity split 50/50 between the co-founders
