Stephenson Harwood seeks a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to work in its award-winning rail and bus team, advising on commercial contracts, regulatory frameworks, and procurement in the transport sector. Key responsibilities:
- Advising on risk analysis, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
- Providing tailored legal advice on rail and bus franchises, rolling stock contracts, and infrastructure projects.
- Conducting legal research and statutory analysis.
- Drafting clear and concise legal documentation.
- Supporting business development and client networking initiatives.
- Assisting in contract audits, procurement processes, and regulatory framework development.
Required Skills:
- Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contracts (rail/bus sector preferred).
- Strong contract negotiation and risk analysis skills.
- Knowledge of public procurement frameworks (Public Contracts Regulations/Utilities Contracts Regulations).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
