Description:

Version 1 is seeking a Commercial Director – Strategic Alliances to accelerate business development across strategic partnerships with Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, and potentially other key technology players. Based in London and working on-site, this role is designed to scale Version 1’s growth across the UK by aligning with its partners to drive joint sales, co-branded campaigns, and lead generation strategies that deliver tangible revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strategic alliance frameworks, understanding partner strategies, and crafting go-to-market (GTM) plans that generate qualified opportunities for the sales team. You'll be pivotal in delivering on Version 1's ambitious strategy to expand across both public and private sectors, leading to measurable outcomes such as customer wins, pipeline development, and geographic expansion.

You will work cross-functionally with technical teams, sales, and marketing to identify and promote innovative solutions that leverage partner technologies. Your understanding of the IT consulting landscape, partner ecosystems, and technology solutions will help drive initiatives that differentiate Version 1 in a competitive market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and strengthen alliances with technology partners to create co-developed business plans that drive joint opportunity and revenue

  • Deliver qualified sales opportunities by executing focused sales plays and GTM initiatives

  • Collaborate with practice and technical teams to launch joint solutions

  • Align partner efforts with Version 1’s expansion goals across geographies and verticals

  • Lead campaign development in conjunction with Sales and Partner Marketing teams

  • Manage opportunity tracking and CRM data rigorously

  • Present innovative lead-generation ideas to drive new business growth


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business or Marketing (or equivalent)

  • Solid understanding of sales funnels and partner ecosystems in IT services

  • Strong customer service mindset and experience in the technology sector

  • Familiarity with lead nurturing and sales qualification best practices

  • Excellent team collaboration and relationship-building skills
