Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their team in Manchester.

The team is part of the firm's wider Dispute Resolution practice, which is one of the largest and most highly regarded dispute resolution practices in the world. They have offices in over 70 cities worldwide.

The team advises clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, and insolvency litigation. They have experience working with clients from a variety of sectors, including energy, financial services, technology, and real estate.
 

About the role:
 

• Handling a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, and professional negligence claims
• Managing the full litigation process from inception to trial or settlement, including drafting pleadings and witness statements, conducting disclosure and expert evidence, and attending court hearings
• Providing strategic and commercial advice to clients on dispute resolution strategies and risk management
• Building and maintaining client relationships, as well as developing new business opportunities
• Mentoring and supervising junior members of the team

About you:

• A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in commercial litigation, preferably gained at a national or international law firm
• A strong academic record and a demonstrable track record of handling complex and high-value disputes
• Excellent drafting and advocacy skills, as well as strong attention to detail
• The ability to manage a busy workload under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships
