Fairhill Solicitors is a growing boutique law firm based in the City of London, advising businesses and private clients in the UK and internationally. We are seeking a Commercial / Commercial Litigation Solicitor with at least one year’s post-qualification experience to join our team.

The role
-You will manage your own caseload across contentious and non-contentious commercial matters and take an active role in developing our commercial department and its litigation services, helping to grow client relationships. Responsibilities will include:
-Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, terms and conditions and other business agreements.
-Advising on corporate governance, business acquisitions and commercial property matters, including business leases.
-Handling contractual, shareholder and partnership disputes, debt recovery and other commercial claims.
-Managing litigation from initial advice and pre-action correspondence through to proceedings, including statements of case, disclosure, witness evidence and hearing preparation.
-Negotiating settlements, supporting mediation and other dispute resolution processes, and instructing counsel where appropriate.
-Providing practical advice on legal risks, prospects, costs and commercial objectives, while managing deadlines and keeping clients informed.

About you
-We are looking for:
-A qualified solicitor with at least one year’s PQE.
-Relevant experience in commercial law and/or commercial litigation.
-Strong drafting, negotiation and client communication skills.
-The ability to manage your own caseload and recognise when support is needed.
-Sound commercial judgement, attention to detail and the initiative to help develop the department.
-Experience in corporate transactions, commercial property or intellectual property would be an advantage. We welcome applicants with particular strengths in either commercial work or commercial litigation.
