Description:
As Commercial Manager, you’ll play a lead role in the development and delivery of both sponsorship and stand agreements across the Ideal Home Show Spring, including high-profile sponsorship and experiential deals. You’ll help lead show sponsorship performance, secure brand-aligned activations, and grow the sponsorship and experiential base through creative and consultative selling.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director and wider event, marketing, content, and operations teams to ensure each client enjoys a seamless, rewarding experience — from first conversation to on-site delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving sponsorship and stand revenue across the Ideal Home Show Spring portfolio
- Building a strong pipeline of sponsors, commercial partners, and exhibitors in relevant sectors
- Creating compelling, tailored proposals that meet client objectives and add value to the show
- Leading by example on key accounts and closing high-value sales
- Collaborating with content and features teams to develop integrated sponsorship opportunities
- Working with operations and marketing to ensure delivery exceeds expectations
- Analysing metrics, data, and trends to optimise pricing, floorplan strategy, and target achievement
- Attending industry events to identify leads, network, and stay ahead of market shifts
- Preparing insightful post-show analysis and contributing to future event development
You should have:
- A proven track record in senior sponsorship and/or exhibition sales roles
- Demonstrable experience growing revenues across complex, large-scale events
- Excellent sales skills – from cold call to close – with confidence to pitch at senior level
- Experience creating tailored proposals
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Commercial awareness with the ability to spot and shape new opportunities
- Experience managing high-value clients and building long-term relationships
- A team-player mentality with the drive to lead, mentor, and collaborate
- A flair for selling within lifestyle, interiors, or consumer-facing sectors (bonus)
