Description:
Chevron is seeking an experienced (minimum 10 years) Commercial Manager to be responsible for generation and assessment of new business opportunities in the Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals, and natural gas/LNG space.
The role, within Chevron’s Corporate Business Development team based in London, will be responsible for commercial evaluation of opportunities and coordination of technical evaluations. Significant international travel may be required based upon business opportunities.
Required Experience
Communication Skills - requires strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage key internal and external stakeholders often across different geographies to shape, mature and execute business development strategy.
Commercial Skills – demonstrated commercial experience in material energy acquisition and divestitures, preferably upstream, chemicals, downstream and/or LNG. Experience and skill in originating, developing, and negotiating commercial agreements and maturing business development opportunities. Experience in asset valuation, economic and fiscal analyses of complex opportunities and commercial contracts.
Business Acumen - requires proven ability to systematically collect and analyze data from various sources, to drive market insights to support opportunity capture.
Project Management - framing opportunities with relevant commercial and technical insights, formulating plans, focusing on decisions, and effectively influencing teams, balancing multiple assignments with deliberate speed. Sequencing and prioritizing plans and actions.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years' similar experience for the role
Education to at least bachelor’s degree (ideally in a technical, engineering or, Economics qualification)
