Communications And Engagement Manager

Description:

This is a key role for the MMO supporting the delivery of internal and external communications plans and the programme of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders of MMO. The role will include:

• Playing a key role in delivering MMO’s external communications strategy
• Lead on the planning and development of all communications materials and content to support the MMO’s strategic and operational objectives
• Inputting into MMO’s engagement framework for external and internal stakeholders
• Support the handing of media enquiries and incidents
• Providing expert communications and engagement advice to MMO, Defra and projects.
• Managing the reputation of the MMO and handling issues, positioning the MMO favourably, horizon scanning and disseminating intelligence.
• Issue management – highlighting risks, issues and escalating to the appropriate parts of the business.
