Description:

The University of Salford is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Officer (International) to join its Marketing, Recruitment, and External Relations directorate. This is a permanent, full-time position based on campus in Salford. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing marketing campaigns aimed at increasing international student enrolments and enhancing the university’s global brand presence.

Working closely with the International Recruitment Team and reporting to the International Marketing Manager, the post-holder will deliver high-impact marketing initiatives that engage prospective international students, education agents, and global school counsellors. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic marketing professional who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to make a meaningful contribution to international higher education marketing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Plan Delivery: Support the implementation of targeted marketing plans and tactics aligned with key recruitment and performance goals (KPIs).

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging marketing materials — including web content, videos, and social media campaigns — to raise awareness and attract international applicants.

  • Paid Campaign Management: Design, manage, and optimize paid marketing campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Google PPC to maximize engagement and conversion.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams including international recruitment, communications, design, insights, and social media to ensure cohesive branding and measurable results.

  • Email Marketing: Support the creation and testing of email communications following the international student recruitment cycle.

  • Market Research & Analysis: Evaluate campaign performance and market trends to inform strategy and decision-making.


Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience across the marketing mix, with particular strength in digital and social media marketing.

  • Ability to deliver integrated, measurable marketing solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with creativity in content development.

  • Proficiency in digital tools and social media management platforms.
