Compliance Manager

Description:

We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Commercial Property Maintenance team in London.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and coordinate statutory, mandatory, and contractual compliance across sites, ensuring adherence to legislation, Skanska policies, and auditable quality standards while proactively identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Support engineering, planned maintenance, reactive helpdesk, and lifecycle teams to deliver safe, sustainable, and compliant services, ensuring actions from PPMs and inspections are captured and resolved.
  • Own CAFM, asset, and data management—maintaining accurate asset records, statutory documentation, surveys, inspections, and supporting mobilisation, verification, and lifecycle planning.
  • Produce governance-ready operational, compliance, and performance reports; chair or attend stakeholder and client meetings, and drive continuous improvement through legislative insight and system enhancements.
  • Provide professional leadership and safety assurance as a Responsible/Authorised Person where appointed, identify training and competency gaps, promote safe and collaborative working, and ensure service continuity through robust handovers and cover arrangements.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Hold an HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline and a recognised health & safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH or IOSH); embed Skanska’s safety-first culture through best-practice risk management and auditable records.
  • Proven experience in a similar role; experience in commercial building services (M&E, BMS, fire and security) and operational engineering is desirable to deliver safe, sustainable client outcomes.
  • Strong IT literacy with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with CAFM systems and producing professional reports supports Skanska’s focus on data-driven decision making and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-first, flexible and collaborative approach that reflects Skanska’s values of care and teamwork.
  • Professional, organised, and detail-oriented in managing data, documentation and reporting; committed to continuous improvement and capability development in line with Skanska’s EVP.
