Computational Ml Scientist

Description:

A fast-growing health-tech startup focused on drug discovery is looking for a Senior/Computational ML Scientist to develop predictive machine learning models that accelerate the discovery of life-saving drugs. With a team of 7 and strong funding, the company is set to expand significantly in 2025.

This is an on-site role in Central London (5 days a week in a cutting-edge lab), with some hybrid flexibility when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop & refine predictive ML models for molecular research
• Validate innovations to enhance drug discovery and expand Auto ML pipelines
• Collaborate closely with internal team members to design and implement user-centric solutions
• Prepare & present technical research papers and findings

Required Proficiencies/Experience:

Essential:

• PhD in computational chemistry, computational biology, health-tech, or a related field (top university preferred)
• Applied research experience or post-doc where you have researched and built ML models
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of working with stakeholders

Desirable:

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) & Graph Neural Networks (GNNs)

Salary/Benefits:

• £80,000 - £110,000 per month depending on experience
