William James Recruitment is seeking an accomplished Construction Litigation Partner to join one of the UK’s leading contentious construction law teams within a prestigious Top 50 UK law firm. This fully remote position provides the opportunity to work with one of the country’s most highly ranked construction dispute resolution practices, known for handling major national and international infrastructure, engineering, and energy disputes.

This award-winning firm acts for top-tier clients including major contractors, developers, funders, and consultants, with work spanning litigation, adjudication, arbitration, and mediation. The team is led by a distinguished partner and includes several Legal 500 and Chambers UK-recognized specialists.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on complex technical disputes, especially in major infrastructure and energy projects. You will contribute to business development initiatives and help shape the future of the firm’s construction litigation practice while enjoying full marketing, paralegal, and administrative support. A clear path to equity partnership is also available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex construction litigation matters, including arbitration and ADR.

• Work with a client base of major stakeholders in the construction and energy industries.

• Support the continued growth of the UK-wide contentious construction practice.

• Engage in business development and raise the firm’s regional and national profile.

• Interpret and advise on major contract forms including JCT, NEC, and FIDIC.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Litigation Partner.

• Portable client following is highly desirable.

• Deep knowledge of standard construction contracts and dispute processes.

• Commercial awareness with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Demonstrated enthusiasm for leadership, growth, and innovation in legal services.
