Independent Clinical Network, a progressive mental health organization, is seeking dedicated Consultant Adult Psychiatrists with a focus on Autism and ADHD assessments for adults (18+ years). As a Consultant Psychiatrist in this role, you will be part of a highly flexible and supportive clinical environment, conducting assessments remotely or in person, depending on your preference and location. You will play a pivotal role in helping adults navigate complex neurodevelopmental diagnoses and contribute meaningfully to their journey of understanding and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive developmental histories and assessments for autism and ADHD in adults (18+ years)

• Observe and evaluate patients compassionately during sessions

• Review relevant patient history and collateral input from family or observers

• Provide well-formulated diagnoses, offering clear feedback and recommendations to patients and families

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when further information is needed

• Produce high-quality diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment (admin and formatting support provided)

• Request onward referrals as clinically appropriate, aligned with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols

What We’re Looking For:

• GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice in the UK

• CCT in Adult Psychiatry (essential)

• Proven expertise in ASD and/or ADHD assessments for adult populations

• Fully compliant with revalidation and appraisal requirements

• Passion for delivering high-quality, ethical, and person-centred psychiatric care

• Demonstrated alignment with the values of trust, integrity, kindness, and commitment

Working Arrangements:

• Flexible working days (Monday to Sunday) to fit your availability

• Up to 4 assessments per day

• Remote work, hybrid, and face-to-face options available

• Self-employed, paid per assessment, outside IR35
